In the present research work, the proposed approach involves seed self-assembly of NaY crystals with the surfactant template followed by the synthesis of a Y/MCM-41 composite material. The objective of this research work is to prepare, characterize, and investigate the catalytic properties of the Y/MCM-41 composite material for the selective conversion of cyclohexene into 1,2-cyclohexanediol.Objectives:The objectives of this research work are as follows:1. To prepare NaY crystal seed self-assembled Y/MCM-41 composite material.2. To characterize the synthesized Y/MCM-41 composite material using various analytical techniques like XRD, BET, SEM, and TEM.3. To investigate the catalytic properties of the synthesized Y/MCM-41 composite material for the selective conversion of cyclohexene into 1,2-cyclohexanediol.4. To compare the catalytic properties of the synthesized Y/MCM-41 composite material with other reported catalysts.Methodology:The proposed methodology involves seed self-assembly of NaY crystals with the surfactant template followed by the synthesis of a Y/MCM-41 composite material.
