First, we introduce the synthesis method of β-hydroxyimine, and react it with metal salts to obtain a novel β-hydroxyimine metal organic compound. Further experimental results show that this compound not only can be used for catalyzing the Tishchenko reaction, but also shows good stereoselectivity and catalytic activity. These results indicate that β-hydroxyimine metal organic compounds can be a promising asymmetric catalyst.Keywords:β-hydroxyimine, metal organic compound, Tishchenko reaction, asymmetric catalysis.
