Among them, the artificial larch forest in Northeast China is one of the important carbon sinks. Based on the field survey and sampling analysis of the artificial larch forest in Northeast China, this paper explores its carbon sequestration potential and carbon storage characteristics. The results show that the soil organic carbon content of the artificial larch forest in Northeast China is significantly higher than that of grassland and arable land, and the biomass of the understorey plant layer is also significantly higher than that of grassland and arable land. At the same time, the artificial larch forest has a high level of net primary productivity and carbon uptake rate, and has a large potential for carbon sequestration. Therefore, the artificial larch forest in Northeast China is an important carbon sink, and its carbon sequestration potential has broad development prospects.Keywords: Northeast larch; artificial forest; carbon storage; carbon sequestration potential
