The aim of this study is to investigate the phylogenetic relationships and DNA barcodes of 16 species of Leptogenys ants in China, and to provide scientific basis for the conservation and utilization of the biodiversity of this genus. In this study, ant specimens will be collected in the field and identified by morphological and molecular methods. Using molecular biology methods, the phylogenetic tree of Leptogenys ants in China will be constructed by nuclear genes and mitochondrial genes such as ITS, COI, and cytb, and molecular systematic analysis will be carried out to explore the relationships and evolutionary history among these species. Meanwhile, this study will analyze and compare the DNA sequences of these species, and use DNA barcode technology to study species identification and ecology, and to explore the species diversity and geographical distribution of Leptogenys ants in China.Keywords: Phylogenetics; DNA barcoding; Leptogenys; Biodiversity; Geographical distribution
