Cortisol is a hormone mainly secreted by the adrenal cortex in the human body, playing an important regulatory role. Some studies have suggested that cortisol levels may be affected in patients with liver cirrhosis, but the cortisol level changes related to HBV have not been fully investigated yet. This study aims to determine cortisol levels in HBV-induced liver cirrhosis patients and investigate the dynamic changes in cortisol levels before and after co-infection. The study will recruit 50 HBV-induced liver cirrhosis patients, who will undergo cortisol level testing and collection of clinical symptoms and medical records. After that, patients will receive 2 months of rehabilitation treatment. Before and after treatment, cortisol levels will be measured again, and relevant 精品文档---下载后可任意编辑medical data will be collected to determine the effect of co-infection treatment on cortisol levels. The expected outcome of this study is that cortisol levels in HBV-induced liver cirrhosis patients may be lower than those of normal individuals. After 2 months of treatment, patients’ cortisol levels may be improved, but the precise prediction awaits further research. Keywords: Hepatitis B; Liver cirrhosis; Cortisol; Infection; Rehabilitation treatment
