Through collecting and analyzing literature, we found that total ginsenosides could regulate the production of red blood cells, increase the expression and activity of EPO receptors, and improve the content of hemoglobin, thus increasing the number of red blood cells. Studies have shown that total ginsenosides can stimulate the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, thereby promoting erythropoiesis.The research includes introducing the chemical composition and mechanism of action of total ginsenosides, exploring the effect of total ginsenosides on EPO receptor of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, analyzing the effects of total ginsenosides on erythropoiesis and its possible mechanism. By verifying the regulatory effect of total ginsenosides on EPO receptors, the study provides a possible approach to treating anemia and related diseases.
