However, many non-English majors face anxiety and difficulties in English listening learning, which leads to low grades and lack of motivation. This paper aims to explore the listening anxiety and strategy use of non-English majors, and propose corresponding solutions.Firstly, through literature research and questionnaire survey, it is found that listening anxiety of non-English majors is mainly manifested in incomprehension, fast or difficult to understand what they hear, and complex dialogue. In addition, their anxiety level before the exam is significantly higher than during the exam, and they have different anxiety levels and strategy use in classroom learning and self-learning.Secondly, based on the above problems and status quo, this paper proposes corresponding solutions. This includes strengthening the practicability of college English listening teaching, guiding students to do English listening training, and reminding them to pay attention to listening construction in daily learning.Finally, through exploring the listening anxiety and strategy use of non-English majors, this paper hopes to provide some inspiration and help to promote effective practice of listening learning and improve the English listening level of non-English majors.Keywords: non-English majors; listening anxiety; strategy use; solutions.
