Firstly, this article briefly introduces the use of copper in feed in the production process of pigs-corn and the potential environmental risks it may bring. Then, the physiological effects of copper on pigs and its impact mechanisms are analyzed. Through comprehensive literature analysis, it is found that excessive copper content in feed can lead to a decrease in the absorption and utilization of other nutrients by pigs, and have negative effects on growth, development and immune function. At the same time, the high copper content in feed will also lead to a large amount of copper excretion in pig feces, which may pose a pollution threat to the environment. Finally, this article discusses how to reduce the use of copper in pig feed through reasonable breeding methods, in order to achieve better ecological and economic benefits.Keywords: copper; pig; corn; physiological effects; ecological effects
