The study aims to answer the following research questions:1. How does the task demand, specifically different reading comprehension tasks, affect incidental vocabulary acquisition among high school students in their English reading?2. Does vocabulary size and English proficiency of students affect the incidental vocabulary acquisition in different reading comprehension tasks?Methodology:The study will be conducted in two high schools in a Chinese city to recruit participants.
