However, students often encounter vocabulary difficulties in English reading. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to explore the effectiveness of vocabulary learning strategy training in high school English reading courses through empirical research. This study used a combination of questionnaire surveys and experimental research. By comparing the changes in the reading comprehension scores and vocabulary mastery of two groups of high school English students who received vocabulary learning strategy training, the effectiveness of the training was evaluated. The study found that after vocabulary learning strategy training, the performance of the experimental group in reading comprehension and vocabulary mastery both improved.
