We discussed the opening of his latest movie, Robots, which opens on March 11 and his fascinating life. Kid Reporter Ben met wrilliam Joyce, creator of Robots.TFK: Can you tell me a little bit about your new movie, Robots?Joyce: Robots is an animated motion picture about a world entirely made of mechanical people and things. TFK: How have you been involved in the making of the movie?Joyce: The director, Chris Wedge, and I decided we wanted to do a robot movie seven years ago. We liked robots and thought they were fun and cool and that a movie just about them could be really exciting.TFK: What character in Robots is most like you?Joyce: I think that I'm a little bit like Mr Bigweld the guy who made up the whole city because I had to make up and invent so much of what was in the movie and in this world.
