A degree can’t prove the bachelor’s ability and that he can carry into job interviews, though four years and expensive tuition are required. Consequently, CharlEs Murray came to the conclusion that college is a waste of time. In my opinion, this point of view doesn’t hold water.No one can deny that collegeplays a very important role in one's life, not a waste of time,although four years is required, residence and expensive tuition are required under a degree system in which degree does not fully reflect a person's all ability to an extent. What is the most important in a job is to understand and master the knowledge, which can be applied to the practice reasonably. Under a certification system, a certification means that applicants have the knowledge, for instance, if he had passed the CPA exam, it can prove that he has understood most of the knowledge in the area of accounting, however,that does not mean that the applicant is able to apply the knowledge to the work perfectly and has the ability to solve the problems in the practical work. Therefore the recruiter also does not judge if the applicant with a certification is qualified for the job. Whether the person has the ability to work well largely depends on the accumulation of experience in the work, and so on, and knowledge in the early partaccounts for only a small part.
