When I was eight years old, I started to learn English. However, at first, I wasn’t able to memorize hundreds of new words. So I felt depressed and wanted to give it up. But just then, my father had a talk with me. He encouraged me and said that he would give me a hand. I was moved by his words and made up my mind overcoming the difficulty. With the help of my father, I recited the new words four times a day and read them again and again. At last, I could easily memorize them and I improved my English greatly. I was quite proud of myself and thankful to my father. Last week, I met such a difficulty that I couldn’t overcome it at once. The difficulty was that I didn’t do a good job in the Maths exam. I was so upset that I didn’t want to study any more. But suddenly I realized I should face and overcome it because it was a valuable experience which could help me to learn more. Then I tried to relax myself and started to study harder than before. In the next exam, I did well and everyone was surprised at my changes. I thought I had overcome the difficulty. That was why I felt very happy. The subject which I dislike most is Maths. Because some Maths problems are so difficult that I am not able to solve them. On the other hand, when I take some Maths exams, I usually get low marks. That’s why I don’t like Maths. But now I think I should improve it with full confidence because difficulty isn’t a problem.
