With the rapid development of urbanization in China, the vehicle has increased dramatically. Therefore, how to use the appropriate control method to ensure the urban traffic order, security, fast operation, improve the traffic capacity of urban roads, the scientific management of traffic is imminent.This paper will use PLC to improve the traffic light program, realize intelligent control. And will introduce the existing problems and the research significance of the traffic light at the present stage.
