However, the mechanical behavior of this steel is complex and influenced by various factors, including deformation temperature and strain rate. In addition, dynamic recrystallization (DRX) is a critical process that affects the microstructure and mechanical properties of U71Mn during deformation. Therefore, developing a reliable flow stress model and understanding the DRX behavior of U71Mn steel is essential for predicting its mechanical response accurately.Objectives:The main objectives of this study are as follows:1. To analyze the deformation behavior of U71Mn steel under varying deformation temperatures and strain rates.2. To develop a flow stress model based on the experimental data and investigate its accuracy.3. To investigate the DRX behavior of U71Mn steel during hot deformation and analyze its effect on the mechanical properties.4. To compare the experimental results with existing models and suggest improvements if necessary.Methodology:The experimental methodology includes hot compression tests at different temperatures (900-1200 °C) and strain rates (0.01-10 s⁻¹) using a Gleeble-3800 thermo-mechanical simulator. The flow stress data obtained from these tests will be used to develop a flow stress model using regression analysis.
