In this study, we will investigate the band gap structure of photonic crystals and their effects on the propagation of light.Firstly, we will introduce the basic theory and structure of photonic crystals, including their layered structure and methods for achieving periodic dielectric constants. Then, we will study the band gap structure of photonic crystals, focusing on properties such as the band gap width, position and shape, and investigating their limitations on the energy and wavelength of light. Finally, we will study the dispersion properties of photonic crystals, analyzing their effects and applications in the propagation of light.We will use computer simulations and experimental methods to study the band gap structure and dispersion properties of photonic crystals, establish models and analyze data to understand their basic characteristics and applications.Keywords: photonic crystals, band gap structure, dispersion properties, simulation study, experimental analysis.
