To improve students' communication skills, teachers must help students develop their oral proficiency. One way to achieve this is through classroom negotiation and interactive teaching methods. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of classroom teacher-student negotiation on students' complexity of instant oral output in high school English class.Literature Review:Negotiation is an interactive process between the teacher and students in the classroom that helps to foster a positive learning environment. Negotiation takes place when the teacher interacts with the student in a collaborative way to solve problems, clarify meaning, or negotiate meanings. It is a two-way process in which both the teacher and the students are responsible for the learning that takes place (Dornyei & Thurrell, 1994).Studies have shown that interactive teaching methods and negotiation in the classroom lead to better language outcomes for students (Lee & VanPatten, 2024). For example, teachers who use negotiation in the classroom are more likely to facilitate a supportive environment where students feel secure enough to ask questions and seek clarification.
