Urban traffic congestion has become a problem to be solved urgently. So the reasonable control of designing a traffic light system is important.This paper describes a microcontroller-based control of traffic lights control system. The system uses 8051 as the control core, seven-segment LED digital tube as waiting or travel time display, LED traffic lights as red, yellow, green display.
