1/6文學院藝術研究所系(所)98學年度下學期增設課程表CollegeofLiberalArtsDepartmentInstituteofArtsstudiesAcademicYearSpringCourseProposal課程名稱TitleofCourse當代藝術理論專題研究ThemeStudyofContemporaryArt開課班級Class藝術所碩士班一二年級必(選)修Required/Elective選修Elective學分數No.ofCredits3先修科目PrerequisiteCourse(s)授課教師Instructor王雅倫WANGYa-Lun教學內容及進度CourseDescription一、教學目標導讀介紹當代思想大師之重要概念與理論體系,及其與美學、當代藝術之相關課題。ICourseObjectivesGuidedreadingwillbeimplementedtointroducethestudentsaboutthecontemporaryphilosophers’importantconceptsandtheoreticalsystemsaswellastherelatedsubjectsofAestheticsandContemporaryArt.二、教學內容研究主題範疇在二十世紀後至今幾個重要西方思潮,課程以時代分期與專題方式進行,並將重點聚焦於各時代藝術理論之思想、美學觀及相互影響力。配合導讀論文、藝術家作品,並進行問題討論,同學最後完成小論報告。IICourseDescriptionThethemeofstudyfocusesonseveralcrucialWesternThoughtmovementssincelate20thCentury.Coursewillbe2/6taughtinaccordancewithdifferenttimeerasandspecialtopics.Thefocalpointsarethethoughtofarttheoriesindifferenttimelines,theAestheticConceptsandthepoweroftheirmutualinfluence.Guidedreadingonthesesandtheartists’artworkwillbebroughtinfollowedbyquestionperiodandclassroomdiscussion.Atlast,studentswillberequiredtocompleteandsubmitanessayreport.三、教學進度CourseSchedule本課程研讀之文獻與主題是:Thearchivesandthemeforthecourseofstudyare:美學(Aesthetic):RolandBarthes、JeanBaudrillard、MichelFoucault、PierreBourdieu、MerleauPonty、GillesDeleuze、TheodorW.Adorno藝術家(Artist):MarcelDuchamp、KosuthJosepf、RobertMorris、BillViola、JosephBeuys、AndyWarhol、RobertSmithson---藝術理論(ArtTheory):觀念藝術(Artconceptuel)、Fluxus、達達與現代藝術(dadaism)、新媒體(NewMedia)、數位藝術(DigitalArt)、後現代主義(Postmodernism)專題研討(ThemeStudy):圖像以及符號(ImageandSemiology)、藝術家與身份認同(ArtistandIdentity)、知覺、身體與場域(perception、bodyandfield)、視覺文化研究(VisualCultureandimage)、多媒體與複合媒材(MixMedia)論文報告與討論(ThesisReportandDiscussion)授課方式TeachingApproach(es)講授、導讀論文及討論、藝術家作品及論述討論、同學報告Instruction,thesisguidedreadinganddiscussion,artist’sartworkandpublicationsdiscussion,andstudentpresentation.課程要求CourseRequirements課前研讀資料、課外閱讀,於課堂提出相關主題之口頭及書面報告,並發展出完整之小型論文於期末繳交。本課程採授課與研討3/6並進的方式,於課堂上研讀討論相關文章(由同學輪流導讀),並由個人選定某主題為研究個案,先提出背景說明,期中須提出研究進度報告,然後於期末做完整報告。Throughoutpre-classstudyofmaterialsandsupplementaryfollowedbytheverbalandwrittenreportontherelatedsubjects,studentsareexpectedtodevelopandcompleteanessayandturnitinbythesemester-end.Instructionsandseminarsarebothadoptedintothiscourse.Studentswillberesponsiblefortakingturnstoperformguidedreadingonrelatedarticlesinclassroom.Eachstudentwillthenselectatopicashis/hercasestudy.Studentswouldhavetopresenttheintroductionofbackgroundstoryfollowedbysubmittingamid-termprogressreport.Inthesemester-end,studentsarerequiredtoturninacompleteessayreport.成績考核GradingCriteria課堂導讀報告40%、期中小論大綱說明20%、期末小論報告40%In-classroomguidedreadingreport:40%.Mid-termoutlinesforessay:20%.Finalessay:40%.參考書目References*Ardenne,Paul,Art—L’agecontemporain.Paris:ed.duRegard,1997.*BishopClaire,InstallationA...
