The specifications developed within the working groups represent a consensus of theexpertise represented by the participants. Use of a 1394 Trade Association Specification is wholly voluntary. The existence of a 1394 TradeAssociation Specification is not meant to imply thatthere are not other ways to produce, test, measure, purchase, market or provide other goods and services related to the scope of the 1394 Trade AssociationSpecification.
