Different configurations of Beta zeolite crystals can be prepared using different synthesis conditions and structure-directing agents. The crystal structure characterization results show that the structure-directing agent can affect the properties of the crystal in terms of crystal type, size, morphology and crystal surface structure. The mechanism of structure-directing effect includes interfacial effects, nucleation, and growth kinetics. In future research, the influence of structure-directing effect of Beta zeolite crystal seeds on their catalytic performance will be further explored.Keywords: Beta zeolite; seed preparation; crystal structure characterization; structure-directing mechanism; catalytic performance
