In this paper, we proposed a domain decomposition method based on elliptical artificial boundary for solving three-dimensional external problems. The elliptical artificial boundary method can transform complex geological structures into a simple elliptical shape, thereby simplifying the problem. This paper introduces the finite difference numerical simulation method and the iterative solution method for solving boundary value problems. We also introduce the specific implementation steps of the domain decomposition method and verify the correctness and feasibility of the method through numerical experiments.Keywords: three-dimensional external problem; elliptical artificial boundary; domain decomposition method; numerical simulation; iterative solution
