The study used a questionnaire survey method to investigate rural migrant children in the school. The results show that the overall mental health of rural migrant children in Shanghai is poor, mainly manifested in low self-esteem, strong sense of inferiority, poor emotional stability, high learning pressure, and easy susceptibility to external influences. The factors that affect their mental health mainly involve family environment, educational background, and social relationships.
