However, the determinants of tree species diversity in forest communities are still not fully understood. This study will explore the determinants of tree species diversity in forest communities based on different spatial scales, with the aim of providing some reference value for the study of forest ecology.First, this paper will introduce the concept and composition of forest communities, as well as the definition of tree species diversity. Secondly, the determinants of tree species diversity in forest communities will be discussed from four aspects: interspecific interactions, interspecific relationships, habitat factors, and human disturbances, and analyzed using specific examples.
