By establishing a mathematical model and simulating with CFD, the influence of unsteady flow on the pump performance and vibration characteristics is explored, and the differences in vibration characteristics of the pump under different inlet flow conditions are compared. The simulation results show that unsteady flow will affect the working performance of the pump and also cause vibration of the pump, and the vibration frequency is related to the inlet flow rate. Therefore, in the design and improvement of side-wall pressure chamber centrifugal pumps, the unsteady flow and vibration characteristics must be fully considered to improve the working performance and reliability of the pump.Keywords: Centrifugal pump; Side-wall pressure chamber; Unsteady flow; Vibration characteristics
