What factors influence the use of learning strategies in independent English learning among high school students in China?Methodology:This study will use a survey method to collect data from high school students in China who are currently learning English online. The survey will include questions about the respondents' demographic information, English proficiency level, frequency and duration of online learning, and their use of different learning strategies when learning English online. The survey will be administered online to ensure convenience and accessibility.Data Analysis:Descriptive statistics will be used to analyze the data from the survey. This includes calculating the frequency and percentage of each learning strategy used by the respondents. Chi-squared tests and ANOVA will be conducted to examine the differences in the use of learning strategies among students with different levels of English proficiency and other demographic factors.Conclusion:This study will contribute to the existing literature on independent English learning and provide insights into the effective use of learning strategies by high school students in China. The findings will also enable educators to develop appropriate teaching strategies and resources to support their students' independent English learning.
