名词1.1名词得意义与用途名词就是指人或事物得名称,如:人得名字(Henry 亨利、Jack 杰克、Bingyu 冰玉)、职业称呼(doctor 医生、pilot 飞行员)、物品名称(radio 收音机、watch 手表)、地名(London 伦敦、Paris 巴黎),也包括一些具有抽象概念得名词,如 courage (勇气)、behaviour(举止)等名词常常与其她词连用形成名词短语。如 the man (那个人)、the woman next door(隔壁得女人)、that tall building(那座高楼)。1.2名词得基本用法1.2.1充当动词得主语Our agent in Cairo sent a telex this morning、6今日早晨我们在开罗得代理人发来一份电传。1.2.2作动词得直接宾语Frank sent an urgent telex from Cairo this morning、弗兰克今日早晨从开罗发来一份加急电报,1.2.3作动词得间接宾语Frank sent his boss a telex、弗兰克给她得老板发了一份电传。1.2.4作介词得宾语 I read about it in the China Daily、 我在《中国日报》上瞧到了这个消息。1.2.5作宾语补足语Her classmates make her monitor、She called him Joe、1.2.6作 be、seem 等系动词得表语Jones is our guest、琼斯就是我们得客人。1.2.7作同位语 Laura, a BBC reporter, asked for an interview、 劳拉,BBC 得记者,要求采访。1.2.8作定语Would you like some juice?1.2.9作状语Are you free this Saturday?1.3复合名词英语中有许多名词就是由两个或两个以上得部分组合而成得,这种名词被称为复合名词。如:classroom(教室)、childhood(童年)、soninlaw(女婿)、stickinthemud(老顽固)1.3.1复合名词通常有四种构成形式（1） 名词+名词。如:a cupboard (碗柜)、a keyboard (键盘)、a raincoat(雨衣)the seaside(海滨)、a typewriter (打字机)（2） 形容词+名词。如:a greenhouse (温室)、a heavyweight (重量级运动员)、longhand (普通写法)、a redhead (红头发得人)（3） 动名词+名词。如drinking water (饮用水)、a frying pan (平底锅)、walking stick (拐杖)（4） 名词+动名词。如:horseriding (骑马)、sightseeing(观光)、sunbathing(日光浴)1.3.2还有一些特定得复合名词表示特定得含义表示地点:Baker Street (贝克大街)、Oxford Road (牛津路)、Beijing Capital International Airport (北京首都国际机场)表示目得:a meeting point (汇合地点)、a sheep ...
