Teaching Aims: 1. Get the Ss to master the expressions of description. 2. Get the Ss to make a similar passage by using the phrases they have learned.Teaching procedures:Step I Revision 1. (如果是第一次做这样的练习, 建议老师领着学生做,熟练之后可以放手,并要求学生可以适当发挥) 去年夏天我的家乡发生了水灾。当水灾到来时，许多房屋倒塌了，更多的房子处于危险之中。但是人们并不害怕。他们竭尽全力重建家园，现在许多新民居拔地而起，并且看起来比旧房子好的多。我家的房屋也在水灾中冲毁掉了。但现在我们有了一个更新更大的。我家的旧房屋朝北，冬天冷，夏天热。现在事情完全不一样了。我家的新房屋朝南，住着又舒服又开心。 Last summer there was a flood in my hometown. Many houses fell down when the flood came and more houses were in danger. But the people were not afraid. They tried their best to rebuild the town. Now many new houses have appeared and they look much better than the old ones. Our house, too , was destroyed by the flood. But now we have a new and a much bigger one. Our old house faced north and it was cold in winter, hot in summer. Things are quite different now.
