H.264 encoder, as the most commonly used video encoding standard, has good image quality and compression ratio, and has become the first choice for high-definition video encoding. This paper will study the algorithm and SoC implementation of H.264 high-definition video encoder. Firstly, the working principle and algorithm flow of H.264 encoder is analyzed. Then, based on the SoC architecture design, the encoder and on-chip memory are organized to realize efficient encoding and decoding. Finally, through experiments, the performance and analysis of the designed H.264 encoder and SoC are tested to verify its superiority and applicability.Keywords: H.264 encoder; high-definition video; SoC implementation; performance test; superiority
