By adjusting the preparation conditions such as cross-linking agents, grafting agents, and cross-linking time, the preparation scheme was optimized. The molecular structure and morphology of the new flocculant were studied by precipitation method, and the properties of the prepared flocculant were studied by solubility and rheology methods. Finally, the new flocculant was applied in actual water treatment to evaluate its pollutant removal effect and economic feasibility.Keywords: Acrylic acid-grafted starch; cationic starch; cross-linked co-polymer; flocculant; water treatment
