However, the stability of wellbore in these areas is a critical issue to be addressed for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of drilling operations. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the geological and geomechanical characteristics of the formations in these structures and evaluate the wellbore stability under various conditions.Objectives:1. To collect and analyze geological data of the formations in the Fenggu and Gaomiaozhu structures, including lithology, mineral composition, and mechanical properties.2. To establish a geomechanical model of the formations and simulate the wellbore stability under different drilling fluid properties, wellbore diameters, and mud weight.3. To conduct laboratory tests to verify the simulation results and investigate the effects of drilling parameters on the stability of the wellbore.Methods:1. Field observation and sample collection: A geological survey will be conducted in the Fenggu and Gaomiaozhu structures to obtain core samples and well logs. The lithology and mineral composition of the formations will be analyzed using conventional and X-ray diffraction methods, and the mechanical properties of the rock will be tested using the rock mechanics test system.2. Geomechanical modeling: A three-dimensional finite element model will be established to simulate the wellbore stability using the OpenSees software.
