This study aims to explore the migration law of heavy metals (especially copper and cadmium) in waterlogged rice soil around copper smelters and to develop improved methods for pollution reduction or elimination. Field investigation, sampling and analysis, and biological tests are employed to quantitatively analyze the transportation and migration pathways of heavy metals in the soil-water-plant system, and based on experimental results, improved restoration measures suitable for waterlogged rice soil in the vicinity of copper smelters will be proposed. This study is expected to provide useful scientific basis and technical support for environmental governance and agricultural production around copper smelters.Keywords: Copper smelter; Heavy metal pollution; Waterlogged rice soil; Migration law; Improved restoration
