AbstractJane Eyre is a masterpiece in the nineteenth century, which includes life experiences of Charlotte and love story about Jane and Rochester by which we would be deeply moved. In the meantime, we would learn a lot from this novel such as keeping the attitude of always looking at the bright side of things and noble qualities the article mentions. All in all, this novel successfully builds an image of a new female, the image of striving for freedom and equality of women, pursuit of independence for female in that period and struggling for loyal love. The recent world has witnessed the rapid changes of people’s viewpoints on marriage. They no longer hanker for everlasting love but fast food romantic due to the fast development of the society. Therefore, the object of this research is to tell the married and unmarried how the Jane Eyre’s view of marriage should be perceived. It teaches us that although she is not beautiful, she still gains the fruitful love due to her charm of personality, such as striving for freedom and equality, the most improtant, the mutual understanding and respect.
