AbstractSquare, as a public space of city, is not only the main leisure activity place for the citizens, but also represents a city’s image. It has a huge function of cohesion that the expression and appealing in the square. Since 1990s, China has produced the climax of the construction of urban plaza; it produced positive effect for improving the urban landscape and providing a leisure entrainment place.The design of city square is not only molded the city material environment, but also induce the person’s behavior method and affect the person’s feeling. Therefore, this paper, through three aspects of studying the public use of modern city square, ecological afforestation and urban landscape, reflects individuation, entertainment and diversified pleasures orientation. Breaking the tradition square physical form category and paying attention to create a good city life and culture atmosphere, to meet the public need for the purpose.
