Taking the China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone as an example, this paper explores the current situation, problems and countermeasures of RMB settlement in China's cross-border trade. Firstly, this paper will introduce the background of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone and the relevant background of RMB internationalization. Secondly, this paper will analyze the current situation and main problems of RMB settlement in China's cross-border trade, including settlement methods, cross-border transfer system, and bank services. Finally, this paper will propose countermeasures for RMB settlement in China's cross-border trade, including strengthening regulatory cooperation, optimizing service processes, and improving relevant laws and regulations.Keywords: cross-border trade; RMB settlement; China-ASEAN Free Trade Area
