Although the teaching of English vocabulary for high school students has made great progress, students still face many difficulties in the learning process, such as poor memory and improper use. Therefore, this paper aims to study the application of English vocabulary strategies for high school students in order to better guide the learning of English vocabulary for high school students.This paper first introduces the current situation and trends of research on English vocabulary strategies at home and abroad, and then analyzes the problems and difficulties in the learning of English vocabulary for high school students from the characteristics of English vocabulary for high school students. Finally, relevant research views and methods are proposed.Through the investigation and analysis of high school students, this paper finds that memory strategies, association strategies and semantic association strategies are the most commonly used vocabulary learning strategies in high school students' English vocabulary learning. In addition, the teaching of English vocabulary for high school students should focus on the comprehensive use of various vocabulary strategies to improve students' English vocabulary memory and application ability.Keywords: high school students; English vocabulary; vocabulary strategies; application.
