This paper takes the South Campus of Hefei University of Technology as a case study, investigating and analyzing the current situation of campus noise pollution, its sources and distribution, and explores the importance and methods of controlling campus noise pollution.The research reveals that the main sources of campus noise pollution include motor vehicles, construction work, student activities, and building equipment. The noise level in different areas of the campus varies significantly, and the noise level changes greatly with time. Campus noise pollution has adverse impacts on students' learning, rest, and physical and mental health, thus necessary measures of campus noise control are required.This paper proposes recommendations for controlling campus noise pollution in the South Campus of Hefei University of Technology, including: controlling the speed and number of motor vehicles; regulating construction work schedules and noise limits; enhancing management and control of student activities; selecting low-noise building equipment, etc.Keywords: colleges and universities; campus noise control; noise sources; noise distribution; noise impact.
