The application of this theory applying to English songs’ lyrics will be adequately stated through the analysis of the popular English songs’ classic Chinese translating. Lyric, similar to poetry in its form, belong to literary translation, therefore the author thinks that it is necessary to follow the fundamental rules while translating English lyrics into Chinese. But technical difficulties arose when facing the musicality of song, which requires proficiency and specialized knowledge gained from our daily accumulation. 本研究目的和意义: 通过分析流行英文歌曲的中文译文，阐述了尤金.耐达的功能对等理论在歌词翻译中的应用。从词汇对等、句法对等、篇章对等、文体对等及笔者参考大量研究后添加的听众反应对等五个方面分析了在英文歌词翻译中可能出现的困难及部分解决方法。本研究的理论意义（国内外文献综述） 功能对等作为重要翻译理论之一是众多译者在翻译过程中的主要研究对象，该理论具有的广泛指导意义在各领域的文献及文章的翻译中都有指导意义。该研究关注的英文歌词翻译也成为国内学者的研究领域。国内学者李程认为歌词也属于文学翻译，因此可以借鉴诗歌的翻译方法。基于尤金.耐达的功能对等他提到的一般翻译规律首先是要以篇章作为单位（Passage Equivalence），对内容和形式都要有整体的把握；其次要对语言的时代、社会文化（culture context）进行深入推敲以避免选词（Lexical Equivalence）技术上的错误；同时还要考察歌曲歌词的风格（Stylistic Equivalence）为译文语言润色。满丹南在他的文章《从功能对等理论看英文歌曲歌词的翻译》一文...
