This paper mainly explores the dynamic mechanism of the 2024-2024 El Niño/La Niña events from the perspective of dynamic mechanism, and prospected the future research directions. We first briefly introduced the basic characteristics and research status of El Niño/La Niña events, and then introduced the oceanic and atmospheric circulation processes related to the El Niño/La Niña events, and finally analyzed the dynamic mechanism that caused the 2024-2024 El Niño/La Niña events. The study found that the key factors affecting the El Niño/La Niña events of 2024-2024 were the subtropical high of the eastern Pacific, the Peru Current, the West Wind Drift, and gravity waves. Future research should focus on further revealing the influence mechanism of these key factors on the El Niño/La Niña events and the interaction between regions.【Keywords】El Niño/La Niña events; dynamic mechanism; oceanic circulation; atmospheric circulation; regional relationship
