In traditional methods, the reaction conditions used for their synthesis are relatively harsh, which also has a significant impact on the environment. Therefore, it is meaningful to discover a high-efficiency and green synthesis method. This study will explore a method of synthesizing diphenyl ether and aryl alkyl ether using Ullmann reaction catalyzed by monovalent copper. First, according to a research report from the University of Carapayaro, the current research status of Ullmann reaction catalyzed by monovalent copper was summarized. Then, by designing a synthesis scheme and controlling experimental conditions, the influence of different reaction conditions on the product yield and selectivity was investigated, the possible mechanism of the reaction was analyzed, and the structure and physical properties of the product were studied by characterization techniques.
