The MSTN and CK genes were cloned by PCR from the liver tissue of M. amblycephala, and the sequences were confirmed by sequencing. The lengths of the sequences were 1.49 kb and 2.20 kb, respectively, and both genes had typical mature peptide segments and conserved domains. Meanwhile, the expression levels of the MSTN and CK genes in different tissues of M. amblycephala were analyzed by qRT-PCR. The results showed that the MSTN gene was mainly expressed in muscle and heart, while the CK gene was most prominently expressed in muscle. The results of this study provide an important basis for understanding the regulation mechanism of muscle growth in M. amblycephala.【Keywords】Megalobrama amblycephala, myostatin, creatine kinase, gene cloning, tissue expression, qRT-PCR
