Plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) are specialized cells of the immune system that play an important role in antiviral and antitumor immunity. This study aimed to investigate the effect of Huangqi polysaccharide on the function of pDCs in CML patients. Flow cytometry was used to detect the expression of surface markers and the ability of pDCs to secrete interferon-alpha. The results showed that Huangqi polysaccharide can promote the expression of surface markers CD80, CD86, and HLA-DR on pDCs and enhance the ability of pDCs to secrete interferon-alpha in CML patients, suggesting that Huangqi polysaccharide can improve the immune function of CML patients.Keywords: Huangqi polysaccharide; chronic myeloid leukemia; plasmacytoid dendritic cells; interferon-alpha; immune function
