They’re different in spelling. For example, the British people spell “ 颜 色 ” “ colour”, but Americans spell it “color”. They’re different in pronunciation. For example, “dance” is pronounced [da:ns] in English, but [dens] in English. They’re also different in words. “秋天”，for example, the British people say “autumn”, but Americans say “fall”. Though they are different in grammar too, there are not so many differences between them.
