They have not finished the work yet.2.如果句子中的谓语动词是行为动词而没有助动词或情态动词，在谓语钱加 do 的适当形式再加 note.g. I don’t want the book. He didn’t attend the party last night.3.其他否定词如 no, never, hardly, seldom, little, scarcely, rarely 等也可构成陈述句的否定句e.g. I have never been here. I can hardly walk. He knows little about French, does he?4.两者的全部否定用 neither，三者以上的全部否定用 none, nothing, nobody, no onee.g. Neither of them knows English. None of these answers is right.5.all, both, every 等词用在否定句中表示部分否定e.g. Both of them didn’t attend the meeting. Not all people like sports.6.在有些句子中按照意义本该放在 that 从句中的否定词 not，被移至主句的谓语动词中，这叫否定前移。这种否定结构主要用于表示“相信”“同意”“认为”等的动词，如believe, think, expect, imagine, suppose 等e.g. I don’t think it will be very cold today. I don’t believe that he will leave school.7. far from, unless, other than, would rather…than…等结构也可用于表示否定含义。e.g. The newspaper account is far from true. I won’t attend the party unless invited.
